HHPR Chosen

The City of Vancouver has selected the engineering and design firm that will lead the widening of NE 18th Street.

Earlier in the process, the NE 18th Street Coalition interviewed three firms and provided feedback on our community’s priorities and concerns. We later learned of a fourth firm being considered by the City. Although we were not initially part of that interview round, we were invited to meet with the firm on August 13, 2025.

During that meeting, coalition representatives had the opportunity to share the same input we had provided to the other firms, ensuring consistency in communicating the neighborhood’s vision for this important project.

We appreciate the City’s openness in facilitating these discussions and look forward to working collaboratively with the selected firm as the project advances.
